Wedding Day Heist: Gift Box Stolen from Glendale Banquet Hall
Glendale, CA — What was meant to be a night of love and celebration took a sharp turn when a wedding gift box was stolen during a reception at the Renaissance Banquet Hall in Glendale.
On Sunday, August 31, 2025, just after 12:50 a.m., Glendale Police responded to a theft report at the upscale venue located at 1236 S. Central Avenue. According to witnesses, an unknown male suspect entered the hall shortly after midnight, made a beeline for the wedding gift box—containing cash and checks—and then dashed out an exit door.
Security footage captured the suspect fleeing the scene by jumping into the passenger seat of a newer model black Mercedes SUV, which quickly sped away from the area.

Male, approximately 40 years old
Middle Eastern or White descent
Bald with a medium build
